Quote from F. Peter Browne on December 3, 1995: "Yes. Mother and Dad were married in St. John, NB in 1923. Dad was employed by Westinghouse (Can.) and in the process of installing a power generating plant at Sheet Harbour, NS. He had gone to get the job started right after graduating from U of T and Mum followed several months later. After the job was completed, they moved to Toronto and then Mum went to my Grandparents home in Kirkland Lake to await "ME". After that, mum and I returned to Toronto and Dad. He was then moved to Montreal with Westinghouse and after a short period, mum was "expecting". She again went to Kirkland Lake and guess what ?? Twin Girls !! The reason that we were all born in Kirkland Lake was someone to give Mum a hand at the time. As you probably remember, her Mother had died while she was a very young girl." |
