Roulette Honors Memory of Pastor Monument Unveiled to Mermory of the Late J. S. Brown, Pastor from 1920 to 1925

A monument was unveiled on the Roulette M. E. Church grounds, Tuesday afternoon, to the memory of Rev. J. s. brown, pastor of the Roulette Church from 1920 to 1925. Rev. Brown set many trees and shrubs on these grounds during his stay in Rolulette, and the grounds have been named "The Brown Memorial Park."

Honored guests inattendance were Mrs. J. S. Brown and daughter, Mrs. W. L. Bonham from Wilkinsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Brown's son, Dr. H. O. Brown and his daughter Donna of Rochester, N. Y.; Miss Hattie Brown, sister of the late Rev. Brown, of Wellsville, N. Y.

The program of the afternoon was started with the singing of The Star Spangled Banner while the American flag was raise. Brief remarks followed the unveiling of the monument, followed by the singing of Auld Lang Syne by Rev. A. M. dietterich of Coudersport, after which Mr. Dietterich made some very fitting remarks and the crowd sang Blest Be The Tie That Binds. Edwin E. Stone, an old-time friend o Rev. Brown, was a pleasing speaker of the afternoon, bringing out many beautiful pictures of the life of our good friend Rev. Brown, who ended his life's work in the spring of 1925. Dr. H. O. Brown spoke in appreciation of the honor paid his father. Other songs were sung and these followed by the serving of well filled plates and an hour of visiting and greeting old friends. Some of the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin E. Stone and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Miller of Wellsville, Rev. and Mrs. A. M. Dietterich, Bert McElroy and Mr. and Mrs. Menzo M. Burt of Coudersport, Mrs. Corl Clymer of Lock Haven and Mrs. Stell M. Squires of Port Allegany.
