Per Theodore Clabeaux (tclabeaux@@juno.com, great-grandson of Philip Clabeaux' brother), December 1999, the Betz family lived across the street from the Clabeau(x) family as of the 1870 U.S. Census. [They're right next door in the 1860 census.]
1870 US Census: Johanna, 20, post office clerk, is living two doors down from her parents.
In the 1880 U.S. Census, Johanna appears as wife of Philip Clabeaux, age 29, with a son, William, 10.
