Excerpt from NYG & B, July 1959 page 181 reads:

'The following data on the pre-emigration history of the Drum family were received too late to be included in the recently published Snyder-Brown Ancestry by H. Minot Pitman, F.A.S.G., reviewed on Page 185 of this issue of THE RECORD: Andreas Trom, the progenitor of the Drum (Trom) family, was a Palatine emigrant who came with his family to East Camp, Columbia Co., NY in 1709 from the Duchy of Sweibrucken. He and his family are recorded in the registers of the Reform parish of Niederkirchen in Ostertal. From these registers it appears that Endreas (Andreas) Trom of Marthe m (1st) before Dec 1694, Margaretha ___, who died Feb 7, 1702, and was buried the next day. He m (2nd), on May 16, 1702, Maria Magdalena, widow of Hans Melchoir Schopper of Kirweiler. The children of Andreas, three by each wife, were recorded in the above registers.' [recent examination of records discloses 5 children by wife #1, and 4 by wife #2]

Glockner chosen as surname of first wife, because Hans Adam Glockner was sponsor of first two children and Jacob Glockner's wife was sponsor for the third child. See Snyder-Brown Ancestry, pages 35-37.
