Our Cooper Family Entry

Joel Allen Cooper was born in Delaware Co. Ohio January 5, 1840 and on October 14, 1861 he married Mary Samantha Huffman who was born September 15, 1838 and passed away September 1, 1866 and was laid to rest in Scotts Prairie Cemetery south of Hillsboro and on February 21, 1870 he married Blanche Mayfield Dye who was born April 10, 1851 and they resided in Oakland, Ill. Joel passed away September 1, 1935 and was laid to rest in "The Oakland Cemetery. Blanche passed away March 6, 1922 and was also laid to rest there, as well as many of their children. There were eleven children in all. The first two I believe belonged to Mary S. and the rest to Blanche.
