Jireh was a cordwainer and became a freeman in 1682. On December 5, 1685, calling himself eldest son of Jireth Bull, of Kings Town, deceased, made an agreement with his brothers Henry, Ephraim and Ezekiel Bull. He disposed of all his interest in housing and 92 acres in Kings Town, where their father had lived, together with 500 acres westward from aforesaid housing commonly called Jireth Bull's farm, to said three brothers, always provided that I for my heirs enjoy my grandfather Bull's farm after his decease, adjoining to my farm in Newport, but if in case said Jireth or heirs shall not enjoy said farm nor it should be bequeathed me of my heirs, then (notwithstanding a bond of 1000 pounds which he binds himself for to his three brothers) he and aforesaid brothers are to equally divide amongst us all the land of our deceased father in Kings Province, Narragansett, but if my grandfather bequeaths his said farm unto me or my heirs then the above said bond to be of full force.

In 1687 he was a constable, in 1698 a sheriff. on January 12, 1702 was a propriietor in the common lands. November 13, 1703, Jireh and wife Sarah and Jireh, Jr., son and heir of Godsgift Arnold, late wife of said Jireh, Sr., sold land to Stephen Hookey for 165 pounds. On August 18, 1704 he deeded his son Jireh Bull, blockmaker, certain land in Newport, for love, etc. source: Gen. Dic. of Rhode Island by Austin, p265.
