From the Weeks-Whinery line: Jennie Edith Weeks, fourth child of James Townsend and Mercy Weeks. She was born 2/16/1850 in NJ, d. 7/18/1920 at Perry, OK. Jennie, 2 sisters, one brother and a cousin attended Van Buren Academy at Spring Mountain, OH, approx 1864-1867. She first married Dr. Lindley Harris Whinery (b. 3/23/1844, Paintersville, Greene Co, OH; entered University of Michigan and graduated from Medical School in 1868; ; he had previously graduated from Academy at Spring Mountain, OH, in 1857 (called Van Buren Academy); began practicing at El Doro, IA; moved to DeSoto, Dallas Co, IA in 1870; d. 12/15/1874 at DeSoto at age of 30 from pneumonia). He and Jennie had two sons, Frank William Whinery and Lindley Dale Whinery.
