On February 11, 1767, appeared Jean Hebert, settler, lliving at the village of Borderhouat, parish of Locmaria, on this island, accompanied by Charles Gautrot, Miniac Daigre, Emilien Segoilot and Charles Granger, all Acadians living on this island, parished of Locmaria and of Palais, in front of them the said Jean Hebert declared that he was born at Pigiguit, parish of l'Assomption, in 1698 of Jean Hebert and Jeanne DOUARON; Jean Hebert Issed of Etienne Hebert who came from France with Marie GODET, his wife, both of them died at Port Royal: Jeanne Douaron was the daughter of Charles Douaron who came from France and died at Pigiguit, parish o f La Sainte Famille: the said Jean Hebert married in 1722, in the said parish, Marguerite TRA HANT, daughter of Alexandre Trahant of Port Royal, who died at Isle Saint Jean in 1750 and of Marie Pellerin, who died in Acadia August 27, 1756. The said Marguerite Trahant wife of Jean Hebert died at Liverpool August 30, 1759.

Of the marriage of Jean Hebert and the deceased Marguerite Trahant were issued:

1. Jean Hebert in 1729, marrired in 1751, at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, to Anne LEBLANC, daughter of Pierre Leblanc and Anne Theriot. Transported with their family to Cayenne.

2. Allain Hebert, born in the Month of March 1725, in the said parish, married at the said place, the first time, in the month of October 1746 to Henriette THIBODAULT, born in the said parish in 1727, daughter of Jean Baptiste Thibodault and Marguerite BOUDROT of the same parish and transported by the English to Boston. The said Henriette Thibodault died at Pigigui t in the month of September 1754.

Of the marriage of Allain Hebert and the deceased Henriette Thibodault were born the following:

Firmin Hebert, in the same parish sof l'Assomption in 1747.Elizabeth Hebert in 1749. Paul Hebert in 1751. and Marguerite Blanche Hebert, in 1753.

The said Allain Hebert was transported to Boston in England and married a second time at Liverpool in the month of December 1759 to Francoise Saunier, daughter of Pierre Saunier and Marguerite VINCENT of the Riviere aux Canards, paris of Saint Joseph. The said Allain Hebert passed with his wife to Cayenne where they died.

All of the children of the second marriage were: (?)

3. Pascal Hebert, son of Jean and Marguerite TRAHAN born in the said parish of L'Assomption in 1755 [my note: should be 1735] and married in Liverpool in England to Francoise Trahant, daughter of Pierre Trahant and Jeanne DAIGRE of the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph. The said Pascal passed to Cayenne and with the said TRAHANT were returned from Cayenne to France and is at present at the village of Calastren, parish of Bangor.

4. Agnes Hebert, born in Pigiguit in the said parish in 1740, married January 28, 1758 at Liverpool to Joseph LEBLANC, living on this island at the village of Kledan, parish of Sauzon.

5. Amable Hebert, born at the said place in 1746 and married at Liverpool to Marie Richard, daughter of Pierre Richard, living on this island at the village of Kbelec, parish of Palais, and Marie Joseph Leblanc who died at Liverpool. Of this marriage were born two children as follows:

1. Marie Hebert, January 9, 1764 at Morlaix, parish of Saint Mathieu, Diocese of Treguier; 2. Brigitte Hebert, born on the flat boat on which they came to this island the twenty-ninth of September 1765 and baptised the next day at Morlaix, parish of Saint Mathieu, Diocese of Treguier.

6. Magdeleine Modeste Hebert, born in the same parish in 1741, and married at Liverpool, January 31, 1757 to Jean Baptiste TRAHANT, born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, January 17, 1735, son of Joseph Trahant and Elizabeth THERIOT. Joseph Trahant died at Liverpool and Elizabeth his wife in Virginia.

The said Joseph Trahant, Saint Joseph; the said Jean Trahant issued of Guillaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdeleine LEBRUN, woth died at Port Royal. The Marguerite BOUDROT, issued of Charles Boudrot and Magdeleine BOURG, died at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille.

Of the marriage of Jean Baptiste Trahant and Magdeleine Modest Hebert, were born two Children:

1. Jean Baptiste Trahant at Liverpool, April 3, 1761 2. Jean Michel Trahant, August 26, 1764, paris of Saint Mathieu, Diocese of Treguier and the said Jean Hebert, declarant, married at Liverpool, October 8, 1763, Ester Courtenay, English, 57 or 58 years old.

Such is the declaration of Jean Hebert, who after having it read to him, declared the contents to be correct and that the could not sign his accounting. Completed and drawn up under the signature of Monsieur Bilguet, rector of Locmaria, of Monsieur Le Loutre, missionary priest of us clerk at the action, the said day, month and year as abovfe.
