Jean HE'BERT, born 1653, son of Antoine & Genevieve LEFRANC, settled at Grand-Pré. In father's entry his name is Jean-Baptiste. On p. 1183 (Grand Pré) Jean HE'BERT, born 1653, son of Antoine & Genevieve LEFRANC of Port Royal, married around 1676 to Anne DOUCET, daughter of Pierre & Henriette PELLETRET; nine children. Jean was buried at Saint-Charles-des-Mines on 3 Nov 1710. [Is this his brother? Or was the date given really the date for his wife Anne DOUCET?] !NAME: Stephen A. White says that no documentary evidence supports his name being other than Jean, like his brother's. Jean HEBERT, age 40 years, listed with [his wife] Anne DOUCET, age 32. Children were: Jean, 15; Matieu, 13; Jacques, 11; Pierre, 9; Genevieve, 7; Anne, 5; Christophle, 4. They had 12 cattle, 12 sheep, 6 hogs, on 11 arpents of land, with one gun. |
