!LAND: St. Mary Parish Courthouse, Franklin, LA; pp. 507 & reverse, dated 13 Oct 1836; recorded in Conveyance Book D (No. 4161) dated 15 Oct 1836; pp. 454-455. Jean Pierre DAIGLE declared that he sold to Heloise GIROIRE, wife of Joseph DAIGLE [his brother], a parcel of land on the east side of the River Teche or Atchafalaya, and one mile and a half above Berwick Bay, having 2 x 40 arpents, bounded above by land of vendor, and below by Alexander LEWIS, for $400.
