Notes

1810 Warren Cnty., KY Census. 1815 Allen Cnty., KY tax list. Jarrett Wright lived with his father, Joseph, until he enlisted in the Revolutionary War in 1777. He served for 3 years, 5 months, and 2 weeks. He first served as a drummer boy but attained the rank of corporal. He fought in the Battles of Monmouth, Stony Point, and Fowlers hood. He spent the winter of 1777-78 in Valley Forge under the command of General George Washington. I have also found indications that Jarrett Wright may have had brothers; John, Joseph, and James. Jarrett and Elizabeth (Griffin) Wright lived in Lunenburg Cnty., VA, then Halifax Cnty., VA for 7 years, then Caswell Cnty., NC, and then Warren Cnty., KY. Jarrett was given 200 acres of land in what is now the state of KY forhis services as a Virginian Patriot. His land was located on Trammel Creek in Warren Cnty., KY, which became Allen Cnty., KY in 1815.
