RELIGION: The first organized church in Warren County, IL, was near wh at is called "Sugar Tree Grove," in Hale Township. It was called the "Ass ociated Presbyterian Church of Henderson," named for its supposed proximi ty to the Henderson River, seven miles distant. Jane was one of the 25 pe rsons recorded who were received as members at the organization. Her admi ssion into the church was in 1831. There were other Ritcheys, as well. " History of Henderson County," published 1877, p. 128. RESIDENCE: Lived at Pleasant Green. OBITUARIES: 1) "Review Atlas," dated January 14, 1851. At the residen ce of her son, Mr. James Campbell, in Henderson County, on the 9th instan t, Mrs. Jane Campbell, aged 61. 2) "Oquawka Spectator," dated January 15, 1851, Henderson County, IL, Vo l. 3, no:54 whole no:154 -- "DIED, At the residence of her son, Mr. Jam es Campbell, at Hutchison's Grove, in this county on Thursday morning las t, Mrs. Jane Campbell, aged 61years, 3months, 15days. Mrs. C. was o ne of first settlers of Warren Co. She lived and died in full communion w ith the Seceder Church, or which she had been a consistent member for ma ny years." On the 1850 Census, Warren County, IL, Image #160, Jane and her husband, J ohn Campbell, were living with their daughter, Jane Young Campbell and h er husband, John Wilson Reynolds. References
