In the UK FreeBMD there are 2 marriage references at St Olave's where the family baptism's and marriages were occurring. The first is unlikely because Jane is young in comparison to when her siblings married and also in the 1871 census she is with her sister Elizabeth and her husband James Moore in Southwark, Surrey. At this point she is recorded as Jane Brookman age 24 with an occupation of cook.

  • The most likely marriage reference from St Olave is in the September quarter of 1872 there is a marriage reference and she would be a similar age to when her sisters married. However it may be that we need to look further afield.
