Eliz Hutchison & James Wilson-Augusta Co, VA Posted by: William L. Brown (ID *****0198) Date: March 17, 2008 at 10:50:04 of 1753

Elizabeth Hutchison or Hutchinson--died 1 May 1806 Greenbrier Co, Va. About 1730-1740, she wed James Wilson, possibly in Augusta Co, Va. He died 1781 in Greenbrier Co, Va. Children: James Jr, William, Andrew, daughter Dorcus. Elizabeth may be descended from John Hutchison/Hutchinson (1687-1775) who goes Scotland -- Northern Ireland -- America. He married Margaret Marrow. Thanks.

Hello, listers, especially Vernon Simmons --

You mentioned the 1781 will of James Wilson in Greenbrier County, with sons Andrew, James & Williams & daughter Dorcus (Dorcas). I'm 99 % sure these are my Wilsons. I found a James Wilson who bought 101 acres in the Beverly Patent in Augusta Co, Va in 1737, but can find no other mention of this James anywhere, but I feel he could be the James in the 1781 will. I think Andrew was the Andrew Wilson Jr who married Janey Hutchison (Hutchinson) in Greenbrier in 1791...my known 3-G grandparents. I'm happy to share all I have and to trade info with anyone. Thanks to all, especially the dedicated work of Hal McCawley.
