Note: Widow Sample was a tavern keeper. Her first name is Anne. Wife of James Sample. The will of James Sample who died in 1758, Derry Township, Dauphin County, wife Anne, children John, Isabella, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Anna...is James Semple buried in the Donegal Presbyterian Church Cemetery. "Here lies the body of James Semple late of Conewago who departed this life September 12th, 1757 aged 44 years." This places James Semple's birthdate at 1713.
