Early Land Acquisition in Augusta County, VA

Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:


  • Page 219.—16th March, 1762. James Thompson and Jean ( ) to Samuel Henderson. £200, 250 acres on Middle River of Shanadore, part of 400 acres granted to William Thompson and made over to Hugh Thompson, deceased. 23d May, 1744, and now James Thompson's by hereditary right; cor. George Crawford, Bryce Russell's land; also another tract adjoining above, 60 acres patented to Hugh Thompson, 10th December, 1757. Delivered: Samuel Henderson, May. 1769.
