Coshocton Tribune, May 31st, 1955
GRANT SWOVELAND
Grant Swoveland, 83, resident of Killbuck, who had lived at the Holmes County Home the past two years, died at 7 pm Sunday. He had been in ill health for a long time.
Born in Coldwater MI, June 21, 1871, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Swoveland. He was married in 1916 to Flossie Middaugh, who survives. He was a stone mason and farmer.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Dellas of Canton and Richard of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby McPhillen, Millersburg, Mrs. Marie Burch, South Bend IN, and Mrs. Olive Snure, Wooster route 4; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Thursday at the Elliott Myers funeral home with Manley C. Pierce of the Christian church in charge. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday noon until time for the funeral.
