Elizabeth2 Eskridge (George1), m. 2nd, Col. James Steptoe. By him she had four sons, George, james, Thomas and William. Branches of the Christian family are the descendants of this marriage, among them being Mrs. W.L. Wilson, whose husband was Postmaster-General during Cleveland's administration, and who is now president of Washington Lee University. Mrs. Nannie Steptoe Eldridge, os Lunchburg, is also a descendant.
