Notes from Patricia Prickett Hickin: "They lived in Welch, where Hazel taught school and “James T.” had a trucking business. He was killed in an accident in the Midwest while driving one of his trucks, prob bet. 1965-1972..

They had one child, a daughter, born ca 1936-1945. She is known to have married and divorced and is thought to have received a Ph.D. in one of the biological sciences from Duke University, Durham, NC, probably in the 1960s.
