James C. 'Buck' Oldham, 70 of Thompson Avenue Madisonville, died Saturday, Dec 5, 1992, at 2:16 a.m. at Regional Medical Center.

Born May 22 1922, in Hopkins County, he was the son of the late William Monroe Oldham and Aileen Webb Oldham. He retired as a coal miner after 37 years. He was a member of the Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, the Madisonville Masonic Lodge No. 143 F&AM and was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.

He wass preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Kittinger Oldham; five daughters, Mrs Sam (Betty) Pryor, of Nebo, Mrs Dudley (Teresa) Hendricks and Mrs Willis (Linda) Roberson both of Madisonville, Mrs Ann Oldham of Cahokia, Ill, and Mrs Vickie Oldham of Beulah, Ky; two sons Charlie Oldham of Cahokia, Ill., and Doug Oldham of Beulah, Ky.; two brothers Joe Oldham of Madisonville, and Tommy Oldham of Chicago, Ill. three sisters Betty Turley and Shelia LaPratt both of Madisonville, and Anna Wesneski of Streamwood, Ill,; nine grandchildren two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with Rev Ronnie Hentdicks and LeRoy Nevitt officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Masonic services will be held tonight at 7 p.m.

Military graveside services will be held by Ft. Campbell.

Friends may call today from 12 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
