Information on James McTeer

Possibly this James McTeer's father (?) was in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1734: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/pa/chester/taxlists/faggsmanor.txt

from Futhey and Cope's THE HISTORY OF CHESTER COUNTY (1881);

There seems to have been an intention to make a township of Fagg's manor, and in 1734 there was a separate assessment made, which contained the following names; John Ffreaser, James Hall, John Rogers, JAMES MCTEER, John McMurray, Samuel ffleming, Henry Charleston, David Kennedy, Daniel Hammond, Robert Callswell, David McClaskey, Robert Robson, Wm McClanican, John Croswell, John Douglass, Widow Thomson, Daniel McClain, Thomas Province, Thomas Wetherspoon, Joseph Kenegan, William Neal, William Grimes, Arthur Steward.

WRIGHT, SAMUEL. (Will in Chester County, PA)

This family obviously had a close relation with the Doak family, based upon the will listed above, and the following will:

page 222: will book IX (215) 26th June, 1799. DAVID DOAK'S will--To wife, Jennet; to sons, Samuel and David; to daughter, Jenny Berry; daughter, Rosannah Doak; to daughter, Betsy; to 5 daughters, viz: Aggy, Fanny, Darcos, Polly, Elly; to son, Hugh. Executors, wife Jennet, sons Samuel and David. Guardian. James Berry. Teste: Thos. Mitchell, James and Samuel Meteer. Proved, 28th June, 1802. Jennet refuses.

Others qualify.
