Love, James - born 3/10/1762 in Augusta County, Virginia; moved at age 12 with father to Montgomery County, Virginia, where entered service in 1779; moved after REvolutionary War to Washington County, Tennessee (area than North Carolina) for abt. 6 years, thence to Buncombe County, North Carolina, for 5 years, thence to Logan County, Kentucky, for 5 years, thence to Williamson County, Tennessee, for 6 years, thence to Maury County, Tennessee, where received Pension in 1834 when resided there abt. 26 years; brother of Robert. F-S21350, R1590.

James Love, b. 10 March 1762, Augusta County, Virginia. James Love was drafted in 1779 in Captain Sawyer’s militia company. He applied for a pension on October 4, 1834. he was allowed $20 per year for six months’ service in the Virginia militia. His brother was Robert Love.
