Sir James de Lindsay, Lord of Crawford was the son of Sir David de Lindsay, Lord of Crawford and Maria de Abernathy. He married Egidia Stewart, daughter of Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland and Isabella Graham, on 21 April 1346. He died in 1358.
He gained the title of Lord of Crawford.
