Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 314.--17th August, 1772. William ( ) Hamilton and Margret to James Kirkpatrick. Delivered to John Sharp, the now proprietor, 25th March, 1795. (Note: this land appears to be on "Middle River of the Shenandoah").
Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 304.--18th July, 1780. James Kirkpatrick and Agness to John Sharpe, late of Chester County, Pennsylvania, plantation James lives on.

- Vol. 1 - JUNE 15, 1779. (40) Constables appointed, viz: James Kirkpatrick in Capt. John Cunningham's Company; Manoah Singleton in Capt. Long's Company.
- Page 202.--2d August, 1811. John Kirkpatrick, Sr.'s, will--To wife, Martha; son, Thomas (who is to pay son, James); to son, James; daughter, Anny; sons and daughters now living; to children of deceased daughters, Nancy and Polly; to grandson, John Gillaspie. Executors, son Thomas and James McCutchen. Teste: Thomas Nelson, William Hanna, John Nelson. Proved, January Court, 1813. Executors qualify.
