    Westfield Man Dies
The body of James K. Jones, who died at the home of a daughter in Fond du Lac last Sunday, was brought to this city on a Soo train this morning and transferred to the Portage branch for shipment to Westfield for burial. Mr. Jones was visiting at the home of a daughter when he expired. He had been a resident of Westfield for many years and was well known in the neighborhood.
  16.   A family story about James Knox Jones, from one of a great-grandson: On his farm in the early 1900's he and other farmers housed teachers. James was very good at math and he allowed the
teachers to ask him problems their students came up which they could not solve. The rule was once he finished his milking chores in the barn and then after supper he would work
with the teachers and solve their math problems.

Well, one day this teacher had this problem which she knew no one could solve. Not waiting she went to the barn to give James the problem. James politely told her that he would sit down with her after supper and work with her on the math problem. She continued to give him the problem while he was sitting on his milking stool milking one of the cows. He again politely asked her to wait till after supper. She would not leave and continued to bother him stating that no one could solve it. Now upset and finally asking her politely to wait he thought for a few minutes and turning around on his milking stool he explained and solved the math problem. She never asked him again any more problems.
