This article is for James Houston of Brandywine Creek. James is believed to be the son of Person:Christopher Huston (1) of Mill Creek Hundred, and predeceased his father, sometime beween his marriage in 1721 and his father's death in 1726.

Christopher Houston IF James (14) is the son of Christopher Huston (1), and the two grandchildren that Christopher (1) mentions in his will are the sons of James (14), then there should be a "Christopher Huston among James (14)'s children. No direct mention of him has been identified, but data collection for this person is not complete.

  1. Not mentioned in will of person:Christopher Huston (1) written 1726. But identified in Old Swedes Church records as having a child by mary Crasford (Glessford, Glassford) in 1721.
  2. Source:Linn and Egle, 1880:34. Her name is spelled "Crasford", but it seems likely that the surname is the more commonly written "Glassford". On October 31 1734 Robert Huston married Martha Work. This Robert is also believed to be the son of Christopher Huston of Mill Creek Hundred.
  3. Identified as sons of James Houston of Brandywine in the Will of Margaret Pulford-Stedman-Blunston-Lightfoot.
