Disambiguation

Some researchers have stated in error that it was a DIFFERENT James Givens (1781-1835), son of William Givens and Nancy Agnes Bratton, that married Rachel Stephenson, but other records prove it was this James Gwinn [Gwin] that was her husband. Rachel died prior to the writing of James Gwinn's will on 19 Jul 1844 in Bath County, Virginia, but other records of their children show Rachel was their mother.
