    James Fotheringham candlemaker in Peebles and Elizabeth Goodfellow from the parish of Minto Compeared before the Kirk Session and declared that they were married at Edinburgh on the 23rd of May 1818 by the Rev'd R. Crawford, the parties were rebuked for irregularity and their marriage was ordered to be recorded.
