James Forsey was born in about 1845 at Winsham in Somerset, son of a laundress named Fanny Forsey and her husband Francis Forsey, a carpenter. James appears in the 1851 census living with his parents at Back Lane in Winsham. In both 1861 and 1871 they were living at Fore Street, and James was also working as a carpenter. He has yet to be researched after 1871.
