1881 census - also had 4 lodgers staying with them - all labourers in the brick works. The same Donald Niven is listed with James and family on 1871 and 1881 census. Wonder what happened to him when they emigrated.

Emigrated to USA on board Manitobou arriving New York 2 May 1889 with wife and entire family. Made return visits one of which was in 1911. Ellisisland.org has records of James and Annie's return to USA from Glasgow aboard the Caledonia landing in New York on 3 September 1911. Residence is stated as Youngstown USA.
