James Bell was born 9 Sep 1763, probably in Augusta County, Virginia. Died 6 Jan 1844, buried in the Valley Graveyard, Graham Township. He was married to Elenor Henderson born in 1776, married 1793. Children: Elizabeth married Francis Hinds; James H. married Jane H. Boggs; Sarah; Henderson married Frances Brown; Samuel married Emma Flint; Mary Ann; Lucinda married Samuel W. Newman; Francis married Eliza Willson; John Gray married Ann Rice; Archibald H. married Harriet T. Baker; Elenor married Henry Flint.
