• Page 29.--5th April, 1787. James Bell's will, Sr., of South River--To son, Joseph, home tract, 300 acres, bounded by James Long, Jno. Bell, also an adjoining tract called Trimble's survey; to daughter, Sarah Bell, to be paid by his sons, John and Joseph; to son, John; to daughter, Agness Gamble; son, James Bell; son, Wm. Bell; son, Thomas Bell; son, Samuel Bell, and grandson, Robert Love; to sons, John and Joseph, and daughter. Sarah. Executors, sons John, Thomas, Joseph Bell, Walter Davis. Teste: David and Samuel Long, Gabriel Alexander. Proved, October Court, 1792, by all witnesses. John Bell refuses to qualify or to join in the probate. Other executors qualify.

• Page 36.--4th December, 1792. James Bell's estate appraised by Wm. Blake, David Long, James Beard, Jr.

• Vol. 1 - AUGUST 21, 1752. - (328) Thomas Stewart, Isaac White, John McClure, Edward Hall, James Patton, John Black, James and Gabriel Alexander, and James Bell--clear and keep a road from Edward Hall's to Wm. Long's Mill. (Note: all lived in the vicinity of James Bell).

(Note: Gabriel Alexander lived adjacent to James Bell).

Executors, sons Alexander, Samuel, James. Teste: John Bell, Gabriel Alexander, Joseph Bell. Proved, 18th September, 1781, by John Bell and Alexander.
