Research of Ann Bleigh Powers: "James Jackson Arnold was brought up at Cedar Creek in Gilmer Co. WV. This land was given to James J. Arnold and his brother, Benjamin, in the will of their father, John Arnold. James Arnold was 14 when his father died. Today Cedar Creek is a West Virginia State Park outside Glenville, WV. James and Theresa had 8 children.
