Born in 1641, a cooper, he arrived in Acadia from France around 1671 [but 1st child born abt 1670], settled in Beaubassin around 1690 [but a child baptized there in 1682, and family there on 1686 census]. On p. 845 (Beabassin), Jacques married around 1669 to Marie GIROUARD His wife was born in Port Royal, and her father had been here since around 1641. More likely that he married in Acadia, around 1670. First child born around 1670.] Seven daughters are listed, born from 1670-1695, all listed under Beaubassin entry.
