    Jacob Stover, Jr., son of Jacob Stover and Sallie McGhee, was born about 1795 in Franklin County, Virginia and died after 1850. He married Olive Dixon, daughter of George Dixon and Sophronia Van Bibber. In 1847, Jacob and Olive traded land to John Stover, Jr., for a horse and saddle, and moved to Indiana. By the 1850 census, they are listed in Madison County, Indiana.

    Their children were Jesse, Lucinda, Mary Ann, Jacob III, Fanny, Olivia, Elijah, Ginsey, Henry, and Eunice.
