Jacob married JANE about 1760 in Fauquier County, Virginia.
Jacob appears in the records as follows:
Fauquier County Deed Book, Page 307. October 1, 1771, John Rector and Catharine his wife of Leeds Parish to Jacob Rector 100 acres.
Fauquier County Deed Book, page 446. October 26, 1773, Jacob Rector and Jane his wife of Leeds Parish to William Young of Prince William County 131 acres adjoining Henry Rector, being part of the land purchased by John Rector of Burgess Ball.
From Bedford County, Virginia we have the following records:
May 23, 1774, Jacob Rector was deeded 200 acres.
February 8, 1777, Charles Rector to Jacob Rector 168 acres on Wade's Branch of Stonewall Creek.
July 27, 1779, Jacob Rector to Thomas Hawkins 200 acres on Cattail Branch.
September 27, 1779, Jacob Rector to Moses Preston 168 acres on Wade's Branch of Stonewall Creek; Jane, wife of Jacob, participates in the deed.

In the name of God Amen I Jacob Rector of Bedford County being in my perfect understanding (Praise be to God) do make this my Last Will and Testament as followeth.
Inprimus. I give to my daughter Charlotte Rector, my negro girl named Jane. Item. I leave to my dear and loving wife the remainder part of my estate both real and personal during her life or widowhood and at her death or marriage to be equally divided among the remainder of my children then living not before mentioned. Also, I appoint my loveing wife Jane Rector and my trusty friends William Page and George Stovall Jr. executors of this my Last Will and Testament. Also my Desire is that my Estate should neither be inventoryed nor appraised as Witness my hand this twenty six day of October one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Nine.

At a court held for Bedford County the 22nd day of November 1779 This Last Will and Testament of Jacob Rector Deceased was proved by the oaths of Gideon Martin, and John Pryer witnesses thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded an on the motion of Jane Rector, William Page and George Stovall, Jr., the executors herein named who made oaths there to certificate is Granted them for Obtaining probate in due form giving security whereupon They together with Thomas Helm and Thomas W. Reynolds their securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the Penalty of Twenty Thousand Pounds for the said Execs due and faithful administration of the said Decedents Estate and performance of his will.
