Information on Jacob Harmon

According to researchers who've submitted their work to www.ancestry.com, Jacob Harmon is listed with two different families depending on the submitter. He is the one married to Anna Christina with children named: John Adam, Anna Maria, Elizabeth, Anna Catherine, and Jacob Harmon from one submitter's info. This is backed up by baptismal records for Peaked Mountain Church in what was Augusta Co., VA at the time published in Knoff's book. The other submitter said he was married to Margareta Castle and had Valentine, John Adam, Anna Margreta, Henry Lewis, Elizabeth, Anna Catherine and Jacob Castle Harmon instead. The names of the children are very similar, so it's likely that the wife's name is still in question. If he is the Jacob married to a Castle, his first son Valentine was born in 1752 in Augusta Co., VA and died there in Mar. of 1776. According to Knoff's book, he was bequeathed his father's mill at Peaked Mountain in his will. (C-2407)
