Early Land Acquisition in Augusta County, VA

Image:GrayJacobBordenSW.jpg

Jacob Gray's land (Borden Tract SW, 450 acres, 1755 & 270 acres acquired from Isaac Gray and Mary in 1752) as shown on the map meticulously drawn by J.R. Hildebrand, cartographer. This map is copyrighted©, used by permission of John Hildebrand, son of J.R. Hildebrand, April, 2009. (Note: the relationship between Isaac Gray and Jacob Gray is undetermined, although he could be an older brother or an uncle (less likely), more research necessary. The land of John Gray, Jacob's father is located just to the northeast of the tract acquired from Isaac Gray).
