    Schapansky appears to be incorrect about the reference to Schönhorst. There is a Jakob Dyck (4 males, 1 female) in the 1797 census of Schönhorst (Rempel, p. 44), but this appears to be Jakob Dyck of Chortitza (Chortitza 1793, 1795, 1801, 1802 and 1803).

    Note that Schapansky indicates the correct order of Sara Neufeld's marriages on page 442 (Burwald #30, Bernhard Schellenberg).

    Dates prior to emigration to Canada are assumed to be given according to the Julian ("old world") calendar, which was 12 days behind the Gregorian (modern) calendar in the 1800's.
