Facts and Events
Jacob Dice was one of the Early Settlers of Augusta County, Virginia
Parentage of Jacob Dice
Jacob Dice is possibly a son of George Dice that died intestate (without will) in 1771 in Augusta County, Virginia. Beck family records show that Maria, daughter of Andreas "Andrew" Beck married a Jacob Dice. There were two Dice (Theiss) brothers in early Augusta County, Matthias and George Dice. Although Matthias Dice had a proven son Jacob, he was married to Elizabeth Caplinger, leaving the other brother George as this Jacob's probable father. Additional research is necessary to prove this relationship. Since George Dice owned land on South Branch, Potomac River prior to this death in 1771, the records of this land may show more of his family.
