Daily Times-News, The Wednesday, December 15, 1971 Jack Dean MCPHERSON, 59, of Rt. 6, Burlington, was dead on arrival at a local hospital this morning at 3 o'clock after suffering a sudden illness. A native of Alamance County, Mr. MCPHERSON was the son of the late H. DeWitt and Hattie Rawnsley MCPHERSON. He was the husband of Mrs.. Ruth Shoffner MCPHERSON of the home, who survives, and was a cattle dealer. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Miss Linda Ruth MCPHERSON of the home and Mrs.. CHLOE Dean MCPHERSON of Rt. 6, Burlington; three sisters, Miss Josie MCPHERSON and Mrs.. John Smith, both of Rt. 2 Snow Camp, and Mrs.. William Bruntle of Rt. 2, Elon College; and three brothers, Boyd MCPHERSON and Raymond H. MCPHERSON, both of Rt. 2, Snow Camp, and William I. MCPHERSON of Rt 6. Burlington Final rites will be held Thurs- day afternoon at 3 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis L. Setzer, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes
