Will Transcript

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Wilson Sr. of Henry County at my leisure and in my proper senses do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I do give to my son John Wilson during his life fifty acres of land part of the tract whereon I now live, the said fifty acres to be laid off where the said John now lives & I do also give to the said John Wilson and his heirs forever, my old grey mare, I give to my son James Wilson the tract of land whereon I now live to him adn his heirs forever in fee simple subject to the life Estate which I have before given to my son John Wilson fifty acres thereof, also I give to my son James Wilson two negroes named Charlott & Jack & their increase forever, I give to my daughter Nancy Wilson wife of Aron Wilson five negroes named Sarah, Mourning, Arch, Jim & Daniel and their increase forever, to her and her heirs, I give to my son Moses Wilson two negroes named Berbrey {?} & Reubin to him and his heirs forever, I give to my daughter Sibbey Gilley wife of George Gilley three negroes named Rhoda, Milly and Sally and their increase to her and her heirs forever, I give my son Thomas Wilson one dollar to him & his heirs forever, I give to my daughters Winney Rae [Race?] & Patsey Brashears each one shilling to their and their heirs forever, I give to representatives of my daughters Polly Gilley & Betsey Sason Dec'd, one shilling to them and their heirs forever.
The rest & residue of my estate both real and personal not herein before disposed of after my just debts are paid. I give to my two sons James Wilson and John Wilson equally to be divided between them, I appoint my two sons James Wilson & Moses Wilson Executors of this my last Will hereby revoking all others.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of July one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.

At a Court held for Henry County ___ the Court on this 9th day of June 1817. The within last will and testament of Thomas Wilson dec'd was exhibited in Court and proved by W_ Dandridge, Eaby Bryant and Allen Smith the subscribing witnesses thereto and names to be recorded by the Court and James Wilson one of the Executors therein named made oath and with George Gilley, William Baus [?} & George Hairston his securties entered into bond and ___ ub ledged the same as the law directs certify all was therefore granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form.
