Israel is buried at Stow, Mass., Old Cemetery with wife Martha under the name of Heald, while his son Benjamin right beside him bears the name "Hale".[4]

Home first in Concord, then March 13 1680/81, received a grant of land in Stow, Massachusetts, and settled there about 1682. He was taxed in Stow in 1688 under Gov. Andros (as Israel Heale) (NEHGR, p. 32:81).

He took part in the Expedition to Canada 1688. May 21,1691, The MA Gen Court voted that "the several persons here under named lately employed as Seaman and Soldiers in their Majisties Service against the French and Indian Enemy, who were wounded, and maimed in said services. That a yearly stipend be allowed then as Followth, until this court of Governour, and Council take further Order." Israel Heale appears on the list of wounded, he received 40 shillings per year.
