Advisory on Parentage of Isabella Beard

PLEASE NOTE:

Isabella has been listed by some sources as a daughter of Thomas Beard and Jean McNutt, but this does not appear to be supported by any factual information. Thomas Beard wrote a fairly detailed will that was left in Augusta County, Virginia in 1769, naming several children and grandchildren, but Isabella nor her children are named in Thomas Beard's will. If Isabella was a "Beard", she was probably NOT a daughter of Thomas Beard of Augusta County, Virginia.

Isabella married twice, first to Robert Ramsey, who died in the Indian Massacre at Kerr's Creek on October 10, 1759, and second to Robert Hall, as stated in the Augusta County Court records listed below. Isabella's date of birth and death are not known and her birthdate has been estimated based upon her approximate marriage to Robert Ramsey and an undetermined amount of children with him.
