"Isaac3 (Williams) born on the 11th December, 1661. Baptized on the 11th March, 1662, in Cambridge-Village. Married in 1685 Elizabeth (born 4th September, 1659) eldest daughter of Jonathan and Mary (French) Hyde, his wife, of Cambridge-Village. They were both early members of the church in Cambridge-Village. She died on the 26th June, 1699, at the age of 39. He married in 1709 Mary, the widow of Nathaniel Hammond, Jr., said by Bond to have been the sister of his first wife and upon her death, a third wife Hannah. He was Captain of the local military company and Selectman for his town in 1734. Soon after his third marriage, he removed to Roxbury where he died on the 27th June, 1739, at the age of 77 years. His last will and testament is dated 12th December, 1738, and was probated on the 17th July, 1739. On his grave-stone in the ancient burying-ground in Roxbury appears this inscription:
'Here lyes the Body of / Captn Isaac Williams. He / Died the 27th of June / 1 7 3 9 / in the 78th Year of / His Age.'"
