    IN MEMORY OF I.W. TAYLOR
Isaac W. Taylor was born March 7, 1839, in Saline county, Missouri, died at his home July 6th 1906. During the day he was in as good health as usual and said if it was God's will when his time had come to die that he wanted to be taken suddenly. In the evening he was taken with a severe pain in the breast, which went to his heart from which he expired in less than thirty minutes from the time he was taken. Brother Taylor enlisted in the civil war in 1861, fought for his country nearly four years. After coming home from the war he professed faith in Christ and was baptized by Elder Birchfield into the Baptist church in 1865. In 1866 he was married to Miss Sarah Atchison who still lives to mourn the loss of the companion of her youth. He moved with his family from Missouri to Texas and from there to Oklahoma in 1891 where he resided until his death. He leaves his companion and nine children to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and loving father, but we should not mourn for him as we would for one in whom we had no hope for you know he said while suffering that he was prepared to go, and God has said, "Blessed are they that die in the Lord." The funeral sermon was preached by elder Birchfield of Warrensburg, Missouri on Sunday morning July 8th, at the Fairview Baptist church of which he was a member. His body was laid away int he Troxel cemetery to await the sounding of the Trump of God to awake us out of sleep to arise in the likeness and image of our God. A.A. B.
