Isaac "Izzy" Pollakoff
d.9 Feb 1976
Facts and Events
From his daughter, Marcelle Pollakoff London:
"In the Jewish religion, birthdays are so many days before or after, or in between, a holiday. So (Uncle Izzy's) fell on Valentine's Day one year, so that's the one he picked!
"He enjoyed being with people. He had all kinds of jokes to tell people. He was crazy about his granddaughter (Sue London).
"He came to the US because he didn't want to be a rabbi in Russia."
Izzy's niece, Ruth Sheinaus Asimov (daughter of sister Nettie) called her uncle "friendly."
Ruth's daughter, Nanette Asimov, also remembers him that way.
