ISAAC LAROOY, PIONEER OF GRAND RAPIDS, DIES
- Isaac Larooy, a resident of Grand Rapids for sixty-three years, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Kole, 405 Rathbun avenue, S.E. Funeral services will be held Saturday Afternoon at 2:30 at the daughter's residence. Mr. Larooy was born in Wolfaartadyk, Netherlands, Sept. 27, 1831, and in 1864 came to Michigan with one of the earliest of the Holland colonies, locating here. He is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Clara Vyn, Mrs. Harm Ritzma, Mrs. Mary J. Kole, Lambert, George and John Larooy, all of this city, and Mrs. C.J. Holmes of Jackson.
