Various other researchers have given 1807 as Isaac's birth year. But this marriage record causes one to rethink that. Frances Freeman has (with no visible source info) that Isaac was born in 1785 in Cheraw District, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina. The year may be an estimate, but the location of birth should be researched further to find a verifiable source. If the 1785 date of birth is correct, Isaac would be the son of Edward's first wife and not from his second wife. At this point, I will change Isaac to be the son of Charity Polly Hill and born abt 1785. The tax info below indicates Isaac was old enough to own land in his own name by 1809. So the 1785 date looks acceptable.

Isaac Jackson was married to Miriam Pugh as recorded in the Jackson County, Georgia - Marriage Book 1806-1861, Vol ABC , p16. Dated 17 July 1807. See Ga Archives Virtual Vault.

He is listed in 1809 Georgia Property Tax Digest 1793-1893 pg 65-66 or 66-67 with Edward Jackson, John Jackson, David Jackson, Benjamin Jackson and George Brogdon (who I believe married one of the sisters) This is Jackson County, Georgia 1809 Property Tax Digest.

Isaac is listed in the 1802 Franklin Co, Georgia Property Tax Digest. Franklin County, Georgia was a large County formed in 1784 from Wilkes County and Non County land. Jackson County was created from Franklin County 1796-1801. A parts of Gwinnett County were taken Jackson County.

Isaac is listed in the 1820 Census - Walton Co, Georgia in the over 45 age group. The boundaries again were floating between Walton, Gwinnett and Jackson. Isaac could have been in the same area the entire time. I have have not seen anything after the 1820 date on Isaac but he is not the brother I have been researching.
