BIOGRAPHY: Isaac signed a will on Mar 26 1709, witnessed by John How, Abraham How and Joseph Capen and proved on June 11 1712. He died in 1712 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Mass. He was a Cooper immigrating to America with his parents and settling in Salem, Mass. He bought a house and 1/2 acre of land in Salem from Job Hilliard, a fisherman. This had to be paid in cod and mackerel within 17 days. He moved to Topsfield before 1660 where he shared in common land on the south side of Ipswich River in Topsfield in 1661. Served as selectman , juryman, tythingman and surveyor of highways and fences.

EASTY, or ESTY, ISAAC, Topsfield 1661, perhaps s. of Jeffry, freem. 1673. The name of Mary E. his w. d. of William Town, tried 9, execut. vol. 2, p. 95 as a witch 22 Sept. 1692, must be held in honor, forever, for in her petn. to Sir William Phips, the Gov. she begg. not for her own life, wh. she kn. must be vain, but only "that no more innocent blood may be shed."

Isaac Esty, s/o Jeffrey, b. Freston, England. Records of St. Peter's church: "Isaac Eastie, ye sonne of Jefferie baptized Nov. 17, 1627". Came to Salem with his father, in Topsfield 1651. In 1710 deposed about 82 years [birth about 1728], d. Topsfield 1712. Wife Mary hanged for witchcraft.

Cooper ... sensible of my Declining years", dated 26 Mar 1709, codicil 24 Jan 1710/11, proved 11 Jun 1712, names son Isaac; son Joseph; son John; son Benjamin; son Jacob; grandchild Sarah Gill; son Joshua; daughter Sarah Irellan; daughter Hannah ["her marriage with George Abbot of Andover"]. Son Jacob to be executor.
